I'm sure everyone in Iraq now wishes that had never happened. Let's hope a lesson has been learned.The reason a No-Fly zone is not in place is because the would-be implementers are scared to death of embarrassment if, at the end, they cannot implement it. Why?

Simply because they don't know what Gadhafi possesses in terms of modern anti-aircraft missile systems. That's what they fear... and their fear is justified. Iran sold weapons to Gadhafi. So did the Russians and the Chinese, and among those weapons there are land-to-air missiles. Nobody knows how good they are... and nobody wants to find out.

Embarrassment is loathful to those who wield power.
