Lemme tell you why Najib kena bambu

Even the most ardent Umno blogger / Najib defender will have to admit, however reluctantly, that the PM took a hard hit with the “Let them eat kangkung” meme.

The problem is not the ‘kangkung’ slip per se. It’s the man. Let’s just say it was Ismail Sabri Yaakob (he’s the Agriculture Minister) who had instead uttered the very same words. It would hardly have attracted any attention.

But because the ordinary folks are already so disgruntled with Najib Razak, that’s why the kangkung laughing stalk spread like wildfire. Everybody just wanted to kenakan dia.

I’m directing this missive at the Umno bloggers so that you guys can understand the reason for people – including those from your own side – being vexed with the PM.

We (I speak on behalf of whoever agrees with me, which is quite a lot) think that Najib has got his head in the clouds. He is too detached from the concerns of the average wage earner who has difficulty in making ends meet.

We cukup sakit hati when we see the extravagance and wastage incurred by his spendthrift administration. Kenapalah Najib mahu membela kucing gemuk dia tu yang berekor-ekor? (see tweet below)

The most glaring example of Najib’s big mistake is his appointment of Khairy to theCabinet, who in turn appointed a twit to sit in his office.

Here we are all reeling from price hikes across the board, and there is the Minister’s secretary gushing that “this year will be awesome“.

Obviously the nitwit in Kementerian Belia dan Sukan is clueless that the rakyat marhean do not foresee 2014 to be an “awesome year” for us. Rather we’re anticipating ikat perut.

We step into the grocery store and see how the prices of essential foodstuff has gone up and up, and there is KJ’s secretary blaring out to the entire Twitterjaya her excitement about “pretty awesome projects” — which only exemplifies the Najib government’s big and unnecessary #SYOK SENDIRI spending.

We’re told the cost of public transport is going to go up, the toll rates are going to be increased, the petrol subsidy is being reduced and there is @reginalah tweeting that she’s looking to change her car. The Chief Minister’s new Mercedes syndrome must have rubbed off on her.

Therefore when Najib’s bratty minister – KJ whom even Siti Nurhaliza was moved to admonish for being “kurang ajar” – and the Minister’s equally biadab secretary pula mengada-ngada (other bloggers are irritated by other Ministers), then obviously the backlash of our discontent will become a torrent.

It would help if we had some reassurance that the people sitting at the pinnacle of power in Putrajaya had their feet planted firmly on the ground. But alas, no.

Looking at how the PM is reeling from one public relations disaster to another, nampak macam orang kanannya (si penasihat, si konsultan dan Ketua Pemuda belum sedar). Masih asyik masyhuk dengan #Lifestyle.

Beanstalk

Above is the results of a Google search specifically in the PMO website on the keyword “tiang seri”. Not many will be aware of this but “tiang seri” is a favourite word which appears in many of Najib’s flowery speeches.

What “tiang seri” lah? You mean the magic beanstalk – see cartoon below – that is taking Najib to Cloudland?

Recently Wenger Khairy urged the PMO to attack Umno bloggers whom he labelled Hitler’s brownshirts. It would be foolhardy for the PM’s Office to listen to W. Khairy just like it has been foolhardy for Najib to be taken for a ride by his overfed Pemandu.

The Attack of the Killer Kangkung (“kangkung can kill” is The J-Star‘s scissors snipe at Najib) had simply overwhelmed the PM from left, right and centre not to mention top and bottom. Everybody is jumping on the bandwagon.

The most important lesson for the Najib administration is this: It was the shenanigans of the Fourth Floor Boys that sparked the revolt against Sleepy Dollah.

Khairy was the one responsible for causing his father-in-law’s fall from grace. KJ is a Dapster Minister. He will be the downfall of Najib Tun Razak.

HISTORY IS REPEATING ITSELF!
